It starts with knowing your rights

LINKRIGHTS is a rights information platform that helps young people with a migrant background understand their rights, find the information they need, and reach organisations that can actually help.

Why we started

Talking with migrant-background youth in Korea, we kept hearing the same things: "I do not know what rights I have." "I do not know who to ask." The information exists, but it is scattered and hard to read. LINKRIGHTS exists to close that gap.

The problems we saw

    Information is scattered

    Work, education, health and visa information sit on separate government websites, so you have to hunt for each piece.

  2. 02.

    It is hard to know which office to go to

    Even when the problem is clear, finding out who handles it is a barrier in itself.

  3. 03.

    The language is too technical

    Legal phrasing is hard even for adults, and much harder while you are still learning Korean.

  4. 04.

    It is hard to connect your situation to a right

    The rules exist, but nobody explains how they apply to the situation you are in right now.

The change we want

That migrant-background young people are not "people who receive help" but "people who know their rights and make their own choices". Every screen in LINKRIGHTS is built around that sentence.

This is a goal we are still working toward: so that one person's experience can become help for the next.

    Through rights education and rights information, young people learn what rights they have.

    Find help when needed

    When something happens, they find where to get help through rights information, AI guidance and organisations.

    Choose and act for myself

    Knowing their rights, they choose among the options for themselves and take action.

    Share experiences

    Through mentoring and activities, experiences and questions are shared together.

  5. 5.

    Reach the next person better

    We keep improving rights information with feedback from youth, mentors and organisations, so it reaches the next young person better.

And the cycle starts again, with the next young person learning about their rights.

Where we are going

Our goal is to remain a usable rights platform after the programme ends. We will keep adding languages and topics, and re-check organisation details regularly to keep them current.
